In aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to raise money for Breast Cancer Now the whole JT Atkinson team took part in the national #WearItPink event. We had a fantastic response from the whole team and the customers who were in store during the Wear It Pink day. Staff members across the North East and Cumbria had to wear something pink in support of the event, the team at head office put on a pink themed cake sale with the proceeds going to Breast Cancer Now.
Breast cancer touches the lives of millions of people across the UK, for every woman or man who develops breast cancer there are families, friends and loved ones who also feel the pain and uncertainty the disease brings. The Wear It Pink fundraising day helps raise money and awareness for the 50,000 women and 350 men diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.
