On Thursday 5th March, 11 female members of staff, from various roles within the JT Atkinson team, attended an International Women’s Day event at Rockliffe Hall Hotel in support of the charity “A Way Out” . A Way Out is an outreach and prevention charity based in Stockton, aiming to engage, empower and equip vulnerable and excluded women, families and young people to live free from harm, abuse, exploitation and expand their opportunities.
The day was organised by Endeavour Partnership and included a panel discussion, afternoon tea and talks from several inspirational female speakers including: Caroline Theobald, Zoe Lewis, Christine Stobbs, Angela Lockwood and Theresa Carling.
International Women’s Day has been celebrated worldwide for over 100 years to celebrate the achievements of women and gender equality. Throughout the years, IWD has had differing themes, with this year’s being ‘Each for Equal’, aiming to actively broaden perceptions and celebrate women's achievements.
